Finding and Using Facts

Facts are statements of concrete and variable information. They can be proved true or false. They can be found in single sentences or groups of sentences. The single sentences require no interpretation. As groups of sentences, they can be related to form an impression.
Read the single sentences found below. Then related, in your work, what facts presented in these sentences are. Most of the following sentences contain one or two facts. Identify each and consider the two important following properties.
  1. They are specific items (i.e., Moscow is the capital of Russia and it is where the 1980 Olympics will be hold)
  2. They can be proven true or false (i.e., they can be looked up in some source and verified)
  3. John F. Kennedy was killed on November 22, 1963
  4. Then 1980 summer Olympic Games will be held in Moscow the capital city of Russia
